Monday's Picture Blog!

[Give this picture it's best caption! Either come up with a unique/fun caption for this picture or tell what you think is going on in the picture! Tomorrow I'll pick the best response! LEAVE A COMMENT (anyone can leave a comment, you don't have to have a blog)! I don't care if you're someone I don't know, someone I do know, or someone I'm not suppose to know that reads my blog all the time (secretly of course...HA!) Have fun!] Posted by Picasa

The annual meeting of the "Society of Admirers of the Guy in Patch Adams Whose Hand is Always in the Air (SAGPAWHAA)" kicked off this weekend.

"Members of the 1957 ACU Freshman Class Sing Song act never quite got over their devastating loss to the Senior class in that year's competition. Today, members of that same losing act gather every Friday -- in what some family members are calling an 'unhealthy obsession' -- to rehearse their 48 year old act in hopes of one day perfecting it."

Fellow Americans, due to the fact that enrollment is down in the ARMY among the younger ages, new recruits now span to the older ages and they are badder than ever. They have gas, guts, and they have completly lost their minds. Recruits shout: Give us our guns, give us our guns. ARMY- Be all that you can be!

"Ladies and Gentlemen, tonight we are bidding on the retirement home survival kit complete with Depends undergarments, Preperation H, Denture Cream, Viagra, and Nitroglycerin. I'll start the bidding at $5. Do I hear $5?"

Breaking News: Local retirement home bands together to form a picket line. They seem to be protesting something. Let's get a closer look...

"Are you with me friends?! Let me hear you say it! NO MORE APPLE SAUCE! NO MORE APPLE SAUCE! NO MORE APPLE SAUCE!"

CHARGE!!! Just because we're older young adults, doesn't mean we can't have a little fun! This new "Arobics: Gladiator Style" class is really groovy! CHARGE!

Holly, actually this reminds me of my freshman class sing song when we were Scottish people with kilts. So Kim, is this supposed to be us in like 60 years? Because, the theme totally fits with how those in nursing homes must feel. "We want to be free! Let's fight for victory!"

Hmmm....i hate to do this...but it is 12:30 AM and I have a headache and I just can't decide a winner right now. I'm looking and it is too hard this week!

Honestly, all day as I've watched the captions come in I've thought more and more about how I'd like to get me a judge...someone that I could show the picture too and not let them know who the people entering the captions are and let them vote, but then i thought, you know, it would probably have to be a ACU person though because a lot of times these captions are ACU biased, including this week. Hmm...

Anyways, since I can't pick tonight, y'all feel free to give your suggestions (and that means no voting for yourself...HA!) Not saying your thoughts are going to sway me...but you know! ;)

I am between about 3 of them right now. I'll tell you that much! ;)

I should have something posted by some point tomorrow...HA!

I would like to vote for the Sing Song one... just because its funny. And, it does look like our Freshman Act. I can see Kasey Wilson now, old, wrinkled, and demanding the movements be sharper.

First off, sorry for the delayed posting of the winning caption; however, as clearly stated in the instructions/directions/rules it just says I'll post the winner "tomorrow"...it doesn't say WHEN on tomorrow...so i'm still good even though it is nearly 8 PM! HA!

Okay, this week was hard, partly because I just LOVE this picture...it cracks me up! And actually, I found it on a website that had two other FUNNY pictures of these older folks that I just LOVED also, so I can warn you now, those pictures are forth coming, however I'm not going to do them the next two consecutive weeks only because I don't want those of you who are geriatric-phobic to miss out on entering into the contest for the next few weeks! ;) HA!

Soo, since I was having a difficult time picking the winner this week I consulted some friends for help. I showed them the picture and read the entries with much enthusiasm, I promise. I even SANG the Stayin' Alive one! HA!

After tallying the votes, this week I'm going to have to give a first and a second place, because two really seemed to stand out.

Coming in in second place was none other than my singing rendition of Becca's "Ah Ah Ah Ah Stayin Alive, Stayin Alive...." caption! Nice....nice...what can i say!

As for the top vote-getter this week, it was none-other than our returning champion, Miss Jennifer Ellison with "NO MORE APPLE SAUCE!! NO MORE APPLE SAUCE!! NO MORE APPLE SAUCE!!"

HA HA! Classic! I can tell you it had all the voters laughing outloud (as did many of the others!)

I can honestly tell y'all, I hope some of y'all get the entertainment out of these Monday contests as I do! HA! I love the anticipating of seeing what y'all will come up with! What can I say? I've been blessed with some funny friends!

Thanks for taking y'alls time to post captions! May you get a laugh or at least a smile to start your week!
